About:
Where it is/General info: Next to the children’s playground on the east side of the park, along the road between Shearling Way gate and the clock tower.
Upon entering the park from the North entrance follow the path to the left and you can find our two outdoor Table Tennis tables.
What Plant/Tree life to look out for: For a bit of shade and to offer somewhat of a wind break you will find a careful selection of trees Silver Birch, Ornamental Cherries and most interesting of all Ginkgo. Considered “living fossils”, Ginkgo trees are the only remaining species of an ancient lineage that predates dinosaurs. They have a remarkable ability to live for over 1,000 years.
What Insect/Bird/Animal life to look out for: The odd spider under the table or magpie taking the sun. But just look around you we are sure there will be lots to see.
Feel free to send us pictures and let’s see who else likes the game.
